Feedback notes: Any kind of feedback will be appreciated, even if you just write me a one-line email telling me that you've read the story, and I will be happy.
Warnings: Enter at your own risk. Slash and masochism ahead, as well as a not too rosy picture of our lads.
Notes: It is amazing how an inspiration strikes when one is trying to upload files between two computers. This is an odd one, and I find myself somewhat disturbed by it.
Disclaimer: I don't own Lawrence of Arabia or the real Lawrence. I am writing this for fun, not profit.
Ali was surprised the first time Lawrence asked it of him.
Lawrence looked at him, eyes wide and so blue, both angelic and base, with the intelligence of books and of human darkness.
"You love me, Ali?" Lawrence said, voice soft.
Ali merely nodded.
"Do you really?"
"Yes," Ali said harshly, as if the truth was being wrenched from his core.
Lawrence gazed at him. "When mummy told me that she loved me, it was after she had lashed my flesh with a cane. I've told you this before, haven't I?"
Ali refused to respond. Instead he looked into the desert. Their fire was abating into the darkness, abandoning them to its sleep and leaving them in the company of the bashful moon.
Lawrence's hand wrapped around Ali's wrist. Ali admired the abrupt difference in their skin, a sight that always filled him with pleasure and a certain amount of greed, while Lawrence pleaded, "Do you understand?"
Ali turned back to Lawrence. Ali knew that their desires and goals fitted together as well as their bodies.
"I love you," Ali whispered, as he drew back his hand.
